I also have extensive experience of working with the local community, having been a past Town Councillor and chair of the parish plan initiative (awarded Civic Award for Thatcham in 2008). In 2007 I was responsible in my capacity as Technical Consultant for Thatcham Town Council for carrying out a parish review of surface water flooding and working with residents of the 1200 properties flooded at this time. I am now getting stuck in to helping my local neighbourhood in Frome, building up a new Community Association.
